About Matt

Matt DeMichele, LMT is a Licensed Massage Therapist (CT License #: 005135), and owner of Shadow & Trees Massage Therapy in Newington, CT. He has been in practice since 2007 and has studied with a number of highly reputable figures in the bodywork and massage therapy field. While he practices a number of different styles of bodywork, Matt’s own massage “style” can be described as “connected, deep, therapeutic and conscious.”

Matt has worked with a number of different populations including senior citizens, and adults and children with special needs, as well as athletes at all levels of competition. Himself a former triathlete, Matt has found that the needs of athletes in preparation for or recovering from competition are often quite specific and require a more highly skilled LMT able to not only work with a larger tool belt, but use a bit more creativity and critical thinking for some of the more challenging trials that the body can be put through. Matt also taught Kinesiology and Orthopedic Massage and Assessment at the former Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington.
